Сезонът на наградите за 2023 г. беше един от най-непредсказуемите през последните години. Вълнуващо е, че тазгодишните победители са най-трудните за прогнозиране от известно време, поради вариациите в многото предшестващи церемонии.

Победителите на другите големи церемонии като наградите SAG, Bafta и Златен глобус са различни и липсва консенсус кой ще триумфира на "Оскарите".

Единствените награди в категорията за актьорско майсторство, в които експертите са уверени, е звездата от Everything Everywhere All At Once Ке Хуи Куан , спечелила наградата за най-добър актьор в поддържаща роля.

Брендън Фрейзър (Китът) и Остин Бътлър (Елвис) са спечелили множество награди за най-добър актьор на други големи събития и съща има вероятност всеки от тях да вземе Оскар.

Най-добра актриса в поддържаща роля е може би най-отворената от актьорските категории - с надпревара между Анджела Басет (Wakanda Forever), Кери Кондън (The Banshees of Inisherin) и Джейми Лий Къртис (Everything Everywhere All At Once).
